Indian Business Owners Who Made the Move

Real results from business owners across India who trusted USAIS with their US expansion.

★★★★★

We run a 50-person IT company in Hyderabad. USAIS set up our US branch in Texas — office, bank account, first two employees, everything. Within 8 months we had three American enterprise clients. Our revenue per project increased 3x compared to working remotely from India.

★★★★★

I export home textiles and was tired of agents eating my margins. USAIS helped me open a branch in New York. Now I deal directly with retailers and interior designers. The L-1A process was smoother than I expected — they handled literally everything.

★★★★★

I attended their webinar in Chandigarh and was skeptical at first. But their transparency won me over. My auto parts manufacturing company now has a US sales office in Michigan, and we've already secured two OEM contracts.

★★★★★

My spice export company was doing well in India, but the US market was always a dream. USAIS made it real — FDA compliance, distribution setup, retail connections. Our US branch is now our fastest-growing market segment.

L-1A Visa FAQs — India Edition
What size company qualifies for L-1A from India?
There's no strict minimum, but typically we work with businesses having 10+ employees and ₹50 Lakh+ annual revenue. The key requirement is that you serve in a managerial or executive role and have done so for at least one continuous year in the past three years.
How much does the entire L-1A process cost?
Costs vary based on your situation, but the total investment including company setup, office lease, business plan, and filing fees typically ranges from $15,000–$40,000. We provide transparent pricing with no hidden fees — you'll know the complete cost before committing.
Do I need to invest a minimum amount in the US?
Unlike E-2 or EB-5 visas, L-1A has no minimum investment requirement. You need sufficient capital to set up and operate the US branch, but USCIS doesn't mandate a fixed dollar amount. We help you determine the appropriate capitalization for your specific business.
Can my spouse work in the US on L-2 visa?
Yes. Your spouse receives an L-2 dependent visa and is eligible for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD), which allows them to work for any US employer. Your children can attend US schools on L-2 as well.
How long can I stay in the US on L-1A?
Initial L-1A approval for a new office is 1 year, extendable in 2-year increments up to a maximum of 7 years. After establishing your US business, you can apply for an EB-1C green card for permanent residency — often without needing labor certification.
I'm in a Tier-2 or Tier-3 Indian city. Can I still apply?
Absolutely. We've helped business owners from Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Rajkot, Nagpur, Surat, and many smaller cities. What matters is the strength of your business, not the size of your city. Our offices across India ensure you can meet with us in person.
Is L-1A better than H-1B for business owners?
For business owners, L-1A is significantly better. H-1B is a lottery-based employee visa — you'd be working for someone else. L-1A is designed for business owners transferring to their own US branch. There's no lottery, no cap, and it leads directly to the EB-1C green card.
Can I keep running my Indian business while in the US?
Yes. Most of our clients continue to manage their Indian operations while building their US business. The Indian company must remain operational — it's part of the qualifying relationship requirement for L-1A. Many clients appoint a trusted manager to handle day-to-day India operations.
